Abstract :
The rapid growth of economy and improvement in living level of households in China require more input of energy, while more energy consumption causes severe environment pollution, which in turn affects environmental quality and economic development. Using grey relevancy analysis and these data about consumption of industrial energy and environmental quality from Henan province, we studied the impact of industrial energy consumption on environmental quality. The results indicated that consumptions of fuel oil, crude oil, gasoline and coal resulted to more severe pollution than those of electricity and diesel oil. On the base of the results, we offered the proposals about how to adjust the structure of energy consumption and how to improve environmental quality in Henan province.
