Abstract :
A strategy is proposed in order to reduce the real-world emission levels of the gasoline light duty vehicle. The benefits of incorporation of dynamic adjustment of the vehicle power train system during sharp acceleration, particularly while the vehicle is entering emission-hot spots zone is elaborated. While much further work is required for implementation of the task, the strategy alone is presented here with the preliminary experimental results
