Abstract :
A method is presented for inferring abstract user interface specifications from structural and behavioural information which is extracted from the source code. Original algorithms for inference and transformation of user interface specifications are presented together with examples of user interface reverse engineering taken from a COBOL/CICS environment. Current limits and directions for further research are also discussed
