Abstract
The purpose of the project is to improve on the design and build a neuron emulator and test if it will be sufficient enough for testing a neuroscience instrument currently in development, called the Universal Clamp, as well as develop a graphical user interface that can monitor, control, and save data from the device using Ethernet communication. By improving the neuron emulator and developing the graphical user interface, an initial bench test of the Universal Clamp will be possible before the use of live neurons from animal models.
