Abstract :
Summary form only given, as follows. Results are presented of simulation of atmospheric-pressure air discharges sustained by electromagnetic surface waves propagating along discharge tubes. The discharge model is developed with account of nonequilibrium effects. Number densities of charged and neutral plasma species are obtained by solving the system of kinetic equations, with rate constants depending on local values of the gas temperature and of the reduced electric field, jointly with the Ellenbaas-Heller equation for the radial distribution of the gas temperature and with the equation describing propagation of the electromagnetic wave along the plasma filament.
