Abstract :
Summary form only given, as follows. Results of experimental studies of laminar-turbulent transition in the thermal plasma plume, based on detailed analysis of the process thermodynamic portraits show, that the self-organization is the governing effect here. The self-organization takes place both in the case of resonance stabilized and unstable flapping transitional plumes. In the first case the self-organization controls almost the whole course of the plume transition, in the second one this event acts only in the initial phase of the pre-turbulent process stage. Thus, as a consequence of these facts not only the evolution of these processes but also the reproducibility of them differ substantially. In the paper presented it is shown, that relatively inconspicuous differences in the cooperation of events characterizing the energy separation between the energy flow pumped into the plume and the arc power lost by the arc chamber cooling are the main reason of this dichotomy. In principle, such a self-organized energy separation - acting in opposite direction as the energy separation in Ranque-Hilsch tube - represents an - up to the present /sup n/considered transport mechanism taking place in an arc system. And a deeper understanding of the role which this clue event plays in the synergetic action, giving rise to new qualities which take part in the plasma plume transition to turbulence may disclose a new, striking meaning of the whole matter.
