  • Abstract
    Raman gain, two photon absorption, free carrier absorption, self and cross phase modulation induced by Kerr effect, plasma dispersion, walk-off effect and nonlinear polarization coupling are investigated theoretically in nanometer-scale silicon-on-insulator waveguides. The influence of the rib waveguide dimensions on the time-space evolution of both pump and Stokes pulses is presented
