Abstract
Among mobile routing protocol design issues, two of the most important issues in mobile routing protocol design are battery lifetime and energy consumption. This paper is proposed a hybrid-aware routing protocol in order to minimize the total energy consumption and extend network lifetime in mobile ad hoc network. The performance of the proposed algorithm is evaluated through the realistic energy consumption model and environment. Simulated result shows that the proposed algorithm outperforms other reviewed algorithms. Also, the network lifetime is extended around 27.96 % and energy consumption of network is reduced about 19.56 % for high offered load
