Abstract
A transformation technique is proposed for deriving digital-filter system functions from analog transfer functions. The dual bilinear transformation is used to conformally map a continuous-domain transfer function to its discrete-domain counterpart. The resulting discrete-domain system function, when realized, represents a so-called wave digital structure. The versatility of the proposed simplified technique is illustrated by a number of practical examples leading to the hitherto known results
