Abstract
In MIMO (multiple input multiple output) system, a wireless channel can be divided into several individual subchannels in order to expand the processing capacity comparing to SISO (single input single output) system. The correlation between these subchannels is critical to the system performance, and can be reduced by various diversity schemes. The space diversity has better performance for NLOS(non-line-of-sight) than LOS(line-of-sight), while an opposite effect can be observed by using the polarization diversity. Thus, a jointed space-polarization diversity scheme is introduced, which adapts to both LOS and NLOS environments. A model of the jointed scheme and the performance comparison between these schemes are given in this paper.
