Abstract :
Electrostatic separators are commonly used for the separation of metals and plastics in the recycling industry. Hamos GmbH, Penzberg, Germany, is a leading manufacturer of this kind of systems with more than 200 production scale machines sold world-wide. The paper presents several novel applications of two "standard" models: the drum-type corona-electrostatic separator, and the tribo-electrostatic separator.
