Abstract :
A type of voltage-controlled linear resistor utilizing a simple combination of complementary enhancement mode MOS transistors is proposed. The design is suitable not only for discrete use but also for use as a unit cell in integrated circuits. The electronic structure and the layout of the circuit are given. The principle of operation is discussed and is verified by computer simulation (using the program PSPICE). Parameters for practical design have been established, with satisfactory agreement with simulation results
