Abstract
Poly(trolox ester) nanoparticles were screened for anti-inflammatory properties on two different rheumatoid arthritis cell lines. Trolox was polymerized to two different molecular weights and formed into nanoparticles, which were added to cultures of interleukin-1β stimulated MH7A synovial fibroblast cells and macrophage-like U937 cells. Poly(trolox ester) nanoparticles effectively reduced the secretion of pro-inflammatory mediators by both cell types.
