Abstract
A model system for determining binding mechanics between the blastocyst and uterine endometrium is discussed. We developed 3-dimensional trophospheres as a substitute for blastocysts. Trophospheres detach from sialyl Lewis X under approximately 0.25 dynes of shear force.
