  • Abstract
    We present a new method for image segmentation based on histogram thresholding by means of a fuzzy set theoretical measure. The threshold is calculated by measuring the index of fuzziness of background and object sets. The algorithm developed has been used with success in cases of image segmentation with bimodal and multimodal histograms
