Abstract
We report the Power Glider, a motorized walker for injury rehabilitation and use for the elderly. This product is a motorized walker, or a Power Glider. This device is a four-wheeled rollator style walker with a motor that will give the user an added push in the initial stages of movement. This walker will have two key additions not currently found in walkers available in the market. First, it will have a reverse braking system that will apply the brakes when the user is not holding the braking levers and release once both levels are held. It is important to note that if only one of the levers is held, nothing will happen and the brakes will remain applied. The second feature is a direct current (DC) motor that will push the walker at a pace determined by the user. If the user is a more agile individual, they may choose to travel at the faster setting or if not, they may choose to go slower.
