Abstract
This paper is devoted to the astronomical systems analysis and object detection in images acquired by these systems. It brings general overview of object detection methods used in digital image processing and focuses on different approach via. mathematical statistics. Astronomical systems analysis introduces statistical test for Poisson distribution and False Discovery Rate used in multiple hypothesis testing. Mentioned methods are firstly used for analysis of the dark frames. These results are then used for the purpose of object detection. Proposed methods are applied to the model data and then to the real images acquired by MAIA (Meteor Automatic Imager and Analyzer) system.
