Abstract
The aim of this paper is to present three different error estimates to improve accuracy in linear and nonlinear self adaptive finite element field calculation. The first estimate is based on polynomial theory, the second one makes an estimation of flux density divergence, and the third one is linked with a magnetomotive force associated with the element sides. All methods were implemented in LMAG2D developed at Escola Politecnica da Universidade de Sao Paulo
