Abstract :
Partial conjunction / disjunction functions use a parameter a called degree of andness which indicates their degree of similarity to the pure conjunction AND or to the pure disjunction OR. Different functions have been proposed in the past with a single degree of andness which characterises the function as a whole. In this paper, we investigate a particular function or a class of functions, in a variable space with at least three inputs plus one output dimension, to which several degrees of andness are allocated, one for each combination of input variable or preferably since user-friendly one per variable. In this way, the same function may be described as a fuzzy AND and a fuzzy OR at the same time, depending on the angle of view on the input space.
