Abstract :
The paper presents a feasibility study on the use of an array of lateral hall elements for the implementation of a three-axial Joystick, i.e. a device that can measure rotation (such as a potentiometer) about one axis and measure or detect several positions of the tilt along the remaining horizontal axes. In some cases, a displacement may be detected/measured rather than a tilt.
