Abstract :
Due to constrained energy in wireless sensor networks, how to reduce energy consumption of nodes revocation becomes the important target of security technology researches. A low-power distributed node revocation (LDNR) scheme was proposed in this paper. This scheme first generated vote keys and defined local vote members and non-local vote members. Secondly, this scheme checked a detected misbehaving node by having local vote members broadcasting local votes and made non-local vote members asleep for decreasing energy consumption. Thirdly, this paper analyzed transition states of vote members and relations between unit time duration of a revocation process and maximum time taken for a local-neighborhood broadcast. At last the performances of the LDNR scheme such as energy consumption and node life were simulated. The results show that LDNR scheme reduces energy consumption and prolongs the network life, while this scheme is flexible for various models of communication.
