Title :
Z pinch implosions in the kinetic ion regime
Author_Institution :

Abstract :
Summary form only given. This report presents Z pinch simulations in the kinetic ion regime done with the 3D version of the MERLIN particle code. Some stabilization is found compared with plasma in the fluid regime. Also several features are shown to be present in the kinetic ion regime which would be washed away by the collisions in the fluid regime. These features would be related to the off diagonal elements of the pressure tensor in an extended fluid like model.
