Abstract :
In coherent orthogonal frequency division multiplexing systems, the pilot symbols are often inserted into time-frequency grid to tracking the real time variation of the channel response. In this paper the frequency synchronization algorithm using these pilot symbols and decision data is further analyzed and a carrier frequency offset estimator with high accuracy and low complexity is proposed. Simulation results demonstrate that the presented frequency offset correction scheme provides the accuracy required in practical applications for OFDM wireless systems.
