Abstract :
Quality of service (QoS) provisioning in the 4th Generation (4G) wireless technologies has attracted enormous amount of attention in the wireless research community, yet there is no integrated solution that could be adopted by various technologies in a heterogeneous communication network. In this paper, we propose an integrated solution that works based on the originating application and its QoS demands rather than the specific technology. Simulation results show that the integrated solution could provide QoS demanded by applications using WiMAX as the hosting technology.
