Abstract :
Current-mode design techniques are readily applicable to data conversion products and promise higher speed, high accuracy ADCs. Combining current-mode and differential design techniques brings even greater benefits-particularly in monolithic designs, where noise immunity and rejection of supply interference is critical. This paper looks at the application of differential, current-mode techniques to the development of fast monolithic residue algorithm ADCs at the 12 bit level and above, with particular reference to two current BiCMOS parts
