Abstract :
Through investigating different types of Mining, guiding by principles of science, integrity, practicality, lead and level, this study established a scientific and practical evaluation system of the mine environment quality which can provide a theoretical basis for evaluating the quality of mine environment objectively. Using expert experience evaluation method, the subsystems of mine environment quality evaluation and their evaluation index weights were determined, and mine environment quality index calculation methods based on the grid cell were given. At the same time, in order to better express the spatial distribution situation of environmental quality, the surface simulation of mine environment quality (spatial interpolation) using grid-based unit of environmental of mine as a sample point index were given. According with the mine environmental quality index, the environment quality of mine was divided into three grades, which were poor (MEQI <40), general (40 ? MEQI ? 70), good (MEQI> 70). Based on index system and methods of the mine environment evaluation been established, taking Panxi Hongge vanadium-titanium magnetite as an example, using remote sensing and GIS technology, applying IKONOS remote sensing images and related meteorological, geological and socio-economic data, the environmental quality of the mining area were evaluated. The results showed that: The environment quality which was poor of Hongge mine were mainly distributed in the region around Panjiatian - Xiaoheijing iron ore, Maanshan iron ore and Hongge iron ore. The areas of the three grades of mine environmental quality which was good, general and poor were 28%, 58% and 14% respectively. Open pit and waste rock piled up which occupied vast land resources, the damage of vegetation, a large number of geological disasters, large-scale and more hidden danger of geological disasters Caused by mining activities was the main reason for the environmental damage of the mining area.
