Abstract
This paper presents an analog correlator circuit for pulse-based ultra-wideband (UWB) communication. VGA-like architecture is chosen for the multiplier in the correlator. Dynamic bias control (DBC) is introduced. By controlling the multiplier only to work only when the local pulse is on, the contribution from the multiplier offset, integrator leakage and power consumption are all reduced. Analysis and measurement of this correlator are presented
