Abstract :
A stacked NaI(TI) spectrometer which consists of two silicon detectors, 4 rectangular NaI(TI) scintillators (2"×2"×2") and a cylindrical NaI(TI) scintillators (φ8 cm×18 cm) has been developed to detect spectrum of charged particles up to about 400 MeV. Tests were performed using 300 and 350 MeV proton beams from the ring cyclotron at the Research Center for Nuclear Physics (RCNP), Osaka university. The ΔE-E technique was used to identify particles and also events which originated to nuclear reactions in the detector materials. The tail of peak spectrum is suppressed clearly and the peak efficiency is reasonably estimated,
