Abstract :
The load parameter Q and the ratio of switching frequency to resonant frequency Fs/Fo completely characterize the operation of resonant converters. The dc and exact analysis have been reported earlier whereby the results were obtained numerically. In this work approximate and simple results of the small-signal response of resonant converters to perturbations in the switching frequency and the input voltage is obtained under high-Q approximation and operation away from resonance. The results of the approximate and exact analysis are in good agreement.
