  • Abstract
    The mobile Internet catches attention as mobile data services penetrate everyday life. The mobile Internet has witnessed an emerging challenges for data service platform engineering. The author describes how the mobile data service platform engineering is performed from a business model perspective. First, the author discusses the challenges in mobile client-side software platform development. Then, the author discusses the platform competence and acceptance models. It is followed by the discussion of phased views of mobile data services and standardization. The author presents a cost structure of software platform engineering. It is followed by advertisement-based analysis of success factors.
