            Abstract : 
A new self-authentication scheme is presented in this paper, able to locate tampered regions of an image and partially restore the original color content. This is achieved by invisibly embedding a color scaled version of the image into the image itself. The data hiding algorithm used to embed the message-image is a fragile, blind algorithm based on discrete Pascal transform. Experimental results show that this scheme is able to restore the original image when tampered, by producing a sufficient quality representation of its original content.
