Abstract
The vertical profile of CO2 concentrations retrieved from Greenhouse Gases Observing SATellite (GOSAT) are firstly evaluated. The seasonal variations of CO2 profile are in good agreement with what is already known. Spatial and temporal distributions of CO2 concentration in the troposphere demonstrate some characteristics of atmospheric circulation, which are essential for carbon cycle research. However, as there are still exist large bias in current GOSAT TIR data, further works are needed to quantitative those bias, in order to better interpretative the tropospheric CO2 transport.
