Abstract
For the development and evaluation of source or channel coding algorithms realistic simulations of channel-error effects are an important prerequisite. That is why a new digital radio-channel model with memory is presented, which considers the interdependence of errors. The properties of this model were determined by the analysis of error structures of real short wave channels. The model setup is based on the relationship between the block-error rate and block length, and how it can be found on real radio-channel connections like the short wave channel
