Abstract :
Sophisticated devices that measure and analyze motor vibration are widely available. There are many different methods and types of vibration measurement being made and specified as a result. The most common types are reviewed, together with procedures of vibration measurement on a category of motors widely used in the petrochemical industry, NEMA AC induction motors. A recommended specification for vibration is presented
