Abstract
Experimental investigations of the frequency response of the impedance of hydro generator windings are reported. The impedance was measured in both series and parallel mode over a frequency range of 10 Hz to 1 MHz. Measurements on the phase end and the neutral end are compared. The possibility of increasing service life by means of neutral/phase end reversal on old machines is discussed.
