Abstract :
In this paper, a compact CPW-fed dual-polarized antenna is proposed for UWB wireless communication systems with dual-polarization operation. The proposed antenna covers an ultra wide band from3.1 to 10.6 GHz with S11 <; -10 dB and provides isolation below -25 dB across the operating band. Using the simulation tool CST MWS, the antenna was designed and optimized. Furthermore, an experimental prototype was fabricated and measured. The comparison between simulated and measured results shows a good agreement, which validates the proposed concept. The obtained results show good performances in terms of bandwidth and radiation pattern.
