Abstract :
In 3D digital urban planning applications, a model file may contain multiple building models, however, a single model or model component are very often needed to be used and operated independently. This paper studies a model segmentation strategy to extract a single building models or model component via model segmentation according to a specified rectangular range. This paper used Microsoft´s DirectX 3D Technology and .X model file format to research and achieve model segmentation.
