Abstract :
Corpus reducing and unit selecting is an important issue for embedded Text To Speech (TTS) systems. This article proposed one method which takes the non-uniform as the element to construct embedded TTS. It can reduce size of the corpus while keeping the quality of the synthetic speech. An embedded Chinese TTS is implemented, and the experiments show that this algorithm can produce synthetic speech with high intelligibility and naturalness.
