Abstract :
Wireless multimedia applications and services have undergone enormous development recently. In this paper, we propose a scheme for efficient transmission of a FGS video stream over a Markov fading link. Based on the memory existing in this wireless channel, our goal is to minimize the energy required for transmitting a FGS stream by optimally selecting bit-planes as well as reassigning time slots for data transmission. Experimental results demonstrate the validity of the proposed scheme
