Abstract :
During the last decades electronics has improved incredibly the automotive performance and the operating features of the car. Today, engine control is standard in every car to reduce exhaust pollutants and save gas. In order to analyse which requirements are necessary for the next years the key factors of success must be pointed out, at first. In the next step, the structure of the electronic systems in the car is to be regarded because it stands in a close relation to the problem of finding the prescription for the optimum success.
