Abstract
This paper reports the design, performance analysis, and prototype experiment of a three-dimensional (3D) flux permanent magnet claw-pole motor (PMCPM), which has claws in the stator and the out rotor with permanent magnet, and the claws are made of soft magnetic composites (SMC). The effect of the number of poles, main dimensions, magnet material and dimensions and claw angle on the motor´s performance has been investigated. And also predicted torque density and power factor under various pole numbers conditions are compared with those derived from finite element analysis and measurements.
