Abstract
As enterprises expand so do their networks, necessitating effective management systems to be deployed so that the fall potential of the network is utilised. As the networks grow their management becomes increasingly difficult. Many enterprises are choosing to manage their networks with commercial enterprise management systems. The question is which management system best fulfills the requirements of a particular enterprise. There have been numerous metrics prescribed to evaluate the services offered by enterprise management systems, but until now no process has been developed that produces a quantitative metric as the end product of such an evaluation. This paper describes a solution to this dilemma
