Abstract
In this paper, we present a new approach of adaptive antennas design for wireless high rate communication terminal using a mixed diversity (angular and polarization) for mitigating inter-symbol interference due to multipaths. This approach can be regarded as an alternative to the well-known approach of equalization which imposes the use of expansive integrated circuits to eliminate inter-symbol interferences. Design principle and experimental results of switched antennas with mixed diversity are presented in this work.
