Abstract :
This paper will survey recent advances in research aimed at developing new image and information guided procedures in orthopedic surgery. These procedures are based on new methodological studies oriented towards the modelling of bone structure, which allow the physician to better understand the relationship between form and functionality of movements in the osteo-articular system and to improve diagnosis, therapeutic action and follow-up of the patients.
