Abstract :
Best organizations succeed not because of the talent they have, but because they have the Right People. Behavioral interviewing is a more accurate, cost-effective and flexible method of selection to help companies recruit talents from a pool of applicants and maximize their benefits. This paper compares traditional interview with behavioral interview from interview elements and their time allocation during the interview process in order to further analyze the advantages of behavioral interview. Then the paper provides interviewers and interviewees with different suggestions in preparing for behavioral interviewing. Finally, the author introduces a popular method, STAR, used in the selection of right people for the company, which guarantees its implementation.
