Abstract :
Applies ray methods to produce a model of the propagation effects of buildings in a macrocellular (wide area coverage) mobile radio environment at VHF/UHF. The aims of the study are twofold: firstly to examine computationally efficient methods of evaluating multiple building diffraction effects close to grazing incidence and secondly, to determine simple but quantitative parameters describing the propagation environment, avoiding the ambiguities of the mostly empirical methods in common use
