Abstract
Modular structure of product family is established with generic modules, and the module model denoted by attribute variable is established for each generic module. Then, customer requirements are translated into value of module attributes and the candidate set of modules nearest to customer requirements are retrieved and combined to obtain the final product. Finally, the model of modular product family is applied to solve the configuration of personal computer (PC) efficiently.
