  • Abstract
    This paper investigates using cellular automata (CA) as a modeling tool for data propagation in Ganglion Cells of retina. Ganglion Cells have different kinds that any of them is responsible for a portion of our visual perception. Particularly, direction selective ganglion cells (DSGCs) which make us to percept the movement direction of any object in vision field, show some interesting properties in data propagation and coding. There are some similarities between the most famous kind of CA (game of life) and mentioned properties. A 3D game of life which is a discrete model used in many information and state predictions problems is a suitable model candidate for data propagation in dendritic tree of DSGCs.
