Abstract
We present a new affordable VHF multifrequency and multipolarization radar called MOSAR, a system for the analysis of target resonances (Maquette Orientee pour un Systeme d´Analyse de Resonances). This project deals with aircraft radar cross section measurements in the low VHF frequency band (20-100 MHz). At first, we present the basic principles of this project. We give some reasons for the technical choices and then we describe the radar system (including antenna, receiver and transmitter). In the second part, we present and discuss preliminary results we have obtained. Several RCS measurements with two simultaneously transmitted frequencies, in the low VHF frequency band are presented
