Abstract
This paper presents a full-duplex communication for high-frequency RFID at 13.56 MHz. The work presented in this study is based on the ISO 14443 very high bitrate (VHBR) modulations, which are defined for a half-duplex communication scheme. Moreover, these modulations appear to be orthogonal when transmitted simultaneously over the same carrier. The aim of this system is to use the VHBR modulations in a full-duplex scheme to double the global bitrate. The innovation presented in this paper improves the system performances without decreasing the transmission robustness, and without modifying neither the modulators nor the demodulation blocks.
